    Handwritten notes by President Richard Nixon, given by Nixon to his biographer, "New York Herald Tribune" political journalist Earl Mazo, who wrote, "Richard Nixon: A Political and Personal Portrait". Published in 1959, the book's source material was written near or before 1958 when Nixon was Vice President. Sheet is headlined "Science - Space", underneath which he writes, "Politics - not a bad word." He continues, "Criticism of Humphrey[?] / Benson - } ?" and then, "What is the chief Problem - military - [illegible] / Set our rights - quest for knowledge. / A 21 year old / Columbus - The unknown must not be / Lesson of History / Half cocked - / Keep heads - ". Single page on a ruled legal sheet measures 8" x 12.5". In very good condition with some creasing and a closed tear at bottom.
