This Original French Grande Poster is widely considered to be the finest artwork on this title available, and it is a stunner! And, while you may see some other copies of this poster for sale, it is VERY Rare that you see one which has been professionally Restored and Linen-Backed (with all fold lines and one tear removed), cleaned and ready to be framed and displayed! French Posters are usually amazing, with some of the most beautiful artwork, which reflects well on the plot and atmosphere of the film it is advertising. And, in this case, the PLANET OF THE APES image from this Poster has become iconic itself! I have owned this Poster for over 40 years, and now, it is time to find this remarkable French Grande Poster a new home - preferably with a rabid fan of POTA posters!
This Original French Grande 47x63 Poster is in Excellent Condition. All fold lines have been professionally removed, and one tear that was in the upper left corner has also been professionally repaired to the point where it is virtually unnoticeable (see closer shots of that section). I obtained this Original French Poster in the mid 1970s (it was folded as issued then), and had kept it rolled for years until I had the money to have the Poster professionally Restored and Linen-Backed in the early 1990s. I had it framed and displayed out of direct sunlight, so the colors are still incredibly vivid and vibrant. Please contact me if you have any other questions before bidding.
